Okay let me get this straight--you cut your pattern pieces out and iron the fusible sticky stuff to the back. Then you iron it onto your backing piece, in the right layering order, and applique stitch around all the edges? Do I have this right?

    Can it be this easy????

It's easier... you trace the pattern onto the fusible, cut it out leaving a little extra all around, then fuse it to the back side of the fabric, then cut it out on the line, as it is stiffer it is much easier to be so precise, then bond it to your backing fabric.... :D
