I'm voting for the red too. I like the "idea" of the gold, but the red actually reads better....jmho! :D

Both are very pretty.....my preference would be red though. Can't wait to see the finished product!

I like the red better as well but it needs to be a shade different from the holly berries. I am sure that was your intention seeing as these are manipulated photos. What you have so far is absolutely lovely, BTW.

I'm for the red too. I think it makes it flow nicely - the gold is nice too, but I think it draws the eye away from the flow of the applique.

I am torn between the gold and red as well. The red is soothing.

(and I am very impressed that Christmas projects are
getting done NOW----I'm hoping if I read enough of these
posts, I'll get going on my planned projects as well instead
of doing them at the last minute which is my usual routine....)
