Here are two manipulated photos to show the two colour choices for the ribbon applique in my Christmas quilt.

My first thought was red and I like it but then I thought of gold. (There is some, but not much, gold applique in the blocks)

Here are two reasonable representations of the colour:

I like the gold best, it really pops! But both look good, and you should go with your gut and what pleases you best. Beautiful quilt.

Altho the gold is pretty....I like the red.
For some reason, the red just brings it all together. The gold makes it, well....hmmm....not together? Yup, clear as mud, right?
But, I like the red

on my monitor the gold looks yellow, so I vote for the red.

I like the gold for added interest and because the holly berries don't show up very well on the red.

I like the gold. It makes it all stand out where I think the red just blends in. :D

The gold is too hard on my eyes. I head "WAAAAAAA."

I like the red best, too. And am wishing I could see more of the quilt.... :-)

Oh you will!! I didn't realize I had all my design notes on the quilt! When I finish the ribbon I will post the final top on here... might be December 23rd before I get the quilt done to go on the bed!
