    Thanks everyone. Ceegee, in all honesty, the first one I did stunk. I had to take it apart and try again. It was just the boost I needed to go ahead and buy a little better machine. I got one that would do a blanket stitch, and that was just the ticket. Saw the other blocks, what a mix. But they were all really cute! I can't wait to see the finished quilt. I may try to make one for my dad...he's a kicker. I think he'd like it. He's 82 and tends to stay cold all the time. But I have several other projects to do first.

    My guild's block of the month are a selection of all types of shoes. One of them is a boot. I am going to be brave and machine zig zag around it.
