    Jean

Are you refering to my avatar? That is our beautiful Mahana, a Doberman Pincher. She died in January of this year at twelve and a half years. Of course, no matter how old they are, it's never long enough. She loved people, but a lot of people were scared of her. She was a lot like "Yertle the Turtle": all the land she saw was her domain, and would bark at people who were walking on the sidewalk two streets away. (There's an open space across the street, but not for long I fear.) Also the air space above her- if there was a plane or spot light overhead they got a scolding. To me, the funniest thing she did was have to sniff new people all over, including their eyelashes! (You knew they really wanted to be there!) When she was done with her interrigation, she'd bring you something to hold, mostly something already chewed on and usually damp.

She always seemed to be cold, or at least liked to be covered up. Even in the summer if it was just a sheet!

Sorry Sandra, I just couldn't pass up an opportunity to talk about one of my "babies!"

What a wonderful way to use up your scraps. I really do love quilts like this. It reminds me of an antique quilt where the woman used what she had and made something warm and cheerful in the process. Good job!!
