    Default Art Quilt - Red Rock Canyon. Las Vegas

    My eldest son is the climber. I offered to make him a hanging from one of his favourite pictures. This is a Christmas present for him. I enclosed his original photo as well. This took a month and I still have 2 months to decide how to finish the edges. Thread painted ad raw applique.

    Fantastic job! Is that red rock canyon in Nevada? Probably a lot of different places that looks like that

    Wonderful fabric rendition! In this case I think I would do a facing binding so the picture goes right to the edge without the distraction of a binding. The next option would be to piece the binding so it would match the colours of the wallhanging edges.

    You picked such perfect fabrics and caught what was needed to transform this photo into a quilt. He is just going to love it and be so proud that you made it.
