It's not a block of the month but a BlockSwapper. There are 12 of us who pick a theme or fabric or something then make 12 identical blocks and pass around 11 of them. Sometimes we make other numbers, vary the sizes, even one year made a row quilt. The side of the barn is the block. The shape of the barn is my Grandparents', my Mom's home place barn. My block is the middle top row. The weather vanes are a loon with a baby on the back, a brachiosaurus, a running horse, a camel, a moon & stars, the 4 directions, a rooster, a witch on a broomstick, a dachshund, a flying pig, 3 pine trees, a racing greyhound. Other than the 11 exchanged blocks, it's an original design.
