    Default Auburn tee shirt quilt

I just finished this quilt for a friend who was a member of Auburn's football team and was a teammate of the young man who died in an auto accident on June 29. I'm not really his "Grandma" but that's what he calls me!

The blocks had to be 15 inches because the logos were so big on a 3XL shirt. I tried to outline the logos rather than stitch through the vinyl letters and pictures. Needless to say, there was a LOT of twisting and turning on my Janome 6600. I was glad of the 9 inch throat space! It hangs down about six inches on either side of a queen bed, so it is rather big and heavy.

True War Eagle spirit "Grandma"! I'm sure it will be treasured.

Good job! Especially with a 9" throat. I haven't dared to tackle that one but I am glad you did!
