Fabulous work. I also have a quilt ready for auction for my church, but I want to auction it on my own. I want to raise $2000.00. Do you have suggestions as to how to do this?? Thank you for any information or suggestions. Sophie

Love that quilt! the colors are great. And it was worth every penny of that $500. Worth more but not often you get a quilt as lovely as that to bring in that much. And for a great cause! Congratulations!!

Raffle tickets. Everyone pays so much for a ticket. $2 per ticket or 5/$8 or $9.50. Or those who bid have to have bidding card. Make sure you give some information about the quilt.

We once made a queen size quilt that raised $5,000. We donated it to a local group that did fundraising for cancer. What they did was sell raffle tickets, over the period of several months. My daughter's band did the same thing with a lovely quilt that was made by her band teacher's mother, who was a Newfoundlander. The quilt had blocks that related to the province of Newfoundland. It also raised a good sum of money. The band had permission to display the quilt at a local supermarket and sell tickets there, so there was a lot of traffic.
