    wonderful quilt ..wonderful quilting!! this reminds me of vintage quilts from the UK, especially the spiral quilting motif. did you recieve any info re: this quilts' history, country of origin, the makers country of origin?

    Well done and a great find.... I was looking at hexi's the other night on-line and there are so many unique designs. You can really tell that this was likely a design of the quilter. Be really cool if you were provided the origins of this beauty...

    Jo sent a note that the quilt had belonged to a family in Waucoma IA. The batting is very thin & has separated in small spots. There is no binding, the edges are turned in & whip stitched. I'm amazed at the hexies but the quilting is something diff. for the 30's I think. Tiny stitches also.
