    My condolences- but it sounds like Aunt Penny wanted you to have a remembrance of her and here it is.

    I would keep the quilt until the grant-grandchild was old enough to respect the story and your quilt. IMHO

    I was just thinking the same thing, except perhaps putting the story down on written paper, with your memories of her for the child and stash it in a secret pocket on the quilt? I wish I knew just the right thing to say in these situations, but I don't and I worry about saying something stupid. I wish you and her family all the best through this terrible terrible time.

    Aunt Penny is smiling at the thought ofyou and all of yur memories. You will always have her with you, because you have this quilt....hang in there, it will be better.
    The quilt is gorgeous and I can just see her smiling at it....

    Sorry for your loss, I just lost my Mother the day after Christmas, I know how hard it is! My thoughts and Prayers are with you and your family!
