I am so sorry about the loss of your Aunt Penny. My condolences to you. You honored her wishes by making this BEAUTIFUL quilt for her and she knew she was loved. May this quilt that you made with love bring you comfort at this sad time. ((((HUGS)))

i agree that aunt penny knew that your bond of quilting would be forever bonded by you making this special one...

she may have known she might not live to see it finished, but wanted to be sure that you would have it as a special memory... every time you look at it, it will be a link to her as she watches over you from above... bj

Many of us have stories similar to yours about what we wish we had done before our loved one dies. But I've learned that we have to forgive ourselves and move on. Our loved ones would not want us to feel badly. You were doing your best and Aunt Penny was pleased with who you are. How blessed you both were to have had each other!!

Many of us have stories similar to yours (or at least I do) about what we wish we had done before our loved one died. But I've learned that we have to forgive ourselves and move on. Our loved ones would not want us to feel badly. You were doing your best and Aunt Penny was pleased with who you are. How blessed you both were to have had each other!! My prayer is for peace of mind and for total recall of the great times you shared.

So sorry for your loss. Just wrap yourself in that quilt and reflect on the good memories with your Aunt Penny. Then you can feel the love and warmth the two of you shared. My prayers are with you.

    Hugs,
    Carol

Oh to lose one so fast! You did a good thing and a good job. Finish that quilt and remember Aunt Penny every time you wrap yourself up in the quilt and honor her. I believe she knows you made it for her and has been watching you work on it. She would love that you keep it for yourself in her memory! Thoughts and prayers come to you from me. Consider yourself hugged!

So sorry about your Aunt Penny. If you have scraps, maybe you could make the new grandchild a quilt, too.
