    Default Auntie Tess

I would like to share some pictures of my recent quilt finish. The pattern name is Auntie Tess, and was designed by Corliss Searcy of Threadbare Quilts in Australia. Her inspiration for the design was a vintage ladies compact case. It is hand needle turned cotton appliqué on a cotton background. It has a layer of 80/20 batting and another layer of wool batting on top. I worked on it for about 10 months and it was long arm quilted by a fantastic quilter. On a side note, I will always remember this as the quilt I worked on while living in St. Louis for three months last fall being the caretaker of my boyfriend who underwent a double lung transplant there. It sure kept my mind off of a lot of stressful times. Thankfully, he is doing wonderfully and has a brand new life now due to the selfless generosity of his donor. For all of us--Be an organ donor! Anyway, I'm not here to get on my soapbox. I love the quilt and the gorgeous quilting on it. Thanks for looking!

PS--I'm not seeing the pictures attaching......

Usually it is because the file is too large, or one forgot to scroll over to click on the Upload button.

We like pictures. In order to post pictures on Quilting Board, you will probably need to reduce or compress the picture to a file size that is smaller than 2MB. How to post images can be found at https://www.quiltingboard.com/attach...020-01-17-.pdf
Don't forget to scroll over to the far right to find and click on the "Upload" button.

I have found that only the big red "Reply" button or "Quote" work to give me the paper clip icon to work for adding pictures.

Some additional info regarding reducing images at post #4 and images for the scroll and upload button can be found at #5 of quilt block ID?

Or simply - Make sure pictures are smaller than 2MB
    Click on red "Reply" button
Click on the paper clip icon
Click browse - choose picture/s. (only 5 allowed per post)
Once they show up as being loaded, Scroll over to the right side and click on "Upload"
After the pictures show up as being attached, you can close that window and go back to the screen to finish posting your post.

We'll try this again--I didn't see the Upload button. Duh....... I included some closer up shots and the back to see the lovely quilting.

Beautiful quilt. I can see why it took 10 months but it was totally worth the time. Glad your bf is doing well now.
