Aurora Berry-alis, a Scrap Quilt
I finished this quilt top recently, using a grand assortment of fabrics from stash. I bought the dark purple border fabric after everything else was assembled. I am very fond of scrap quilts and my efforts seem to get better through the years. A key component in my mind to a great scrap quilt is continuity and value placement. I used about 8 different light lilac fabrics for the star points, and about 6 black and dark grey fabrics for the backgrounds.
I made this pattern in 2012, using a different and opposite color scheme as this one. (Dark star points, light background fabrics). My best quilting friend loved it so much I was happy to give it to her. Now I will keep this one.
The size is a long twin.
