    I have always loved Bargello having a number of books on the original way to create these designs on needlepoint canvas (roots go back to Elizabethan times). It really isn't a difficult pattern (I think that Dear Jane would be MUCH more difficult) but I certainly would advise anyone wanting to make one is to start with just a simple flame pattern. I have yet to get the border ON with other projects taking priority. The ONLY difficulty that occurred was keeping the rows numbered since some of the rows were VERY SKINNY !!. ENJOY !!!
