Default 'Australia' Series of Quilts Gallery Hanging

The bigger quilts in my series of 'Australia' quilts are now hanging in a local gallery ready to celebrate Australia Day on January 26. This is the first time I have been able to stand back and look at them and I am really pleased with how they came up. They will hang in the Gallery for a month or so and will be displayed at another couple of events during the year, one of which will be the World Fly Fishing Championships to be held here in Tasmania in December. I am about to begin making a series of quilts featuring trout fish / Tasmania / fly fishing which will also be on display /and for sale for the international visitors during this time.

Sadly we are experiencing extreme weather conditions here in Tasmania at present and 'my happy place' aka our fishing shack in the highlands is right now in the path of an uncontrolled bushfire which is threatening other fishing shack communities in and around the many lakes in this area.

Your quilts are beautiful and make such a lovely display. I hope your fishing area will be spared from the fire. We, where we live, are all to aware of the devastation of wildfires.

You have completed an amazing series of quilts that do honor to Australia. I'm sorry to learn about the brushfires. I hope some rain comes your way soon.

I remember when you posted these! I never realized how big some of them were until I saw the pic of you standing in front of them. Sure hope you get some much needed rain to help cool things down a bit and extinguish the bushfire. My good friend in Sydney said the heat is unbearable and even worse inland.
