This is a PP ribbon pattern by Carol Doak. I used the autism awareness fabric for the ribbon.

    Dorian,

Very nice. I'm guessing your 10 year old, Marcus has autism. Life was very rough when my son with autism was 10. He is now 17 and doing so well. He will graduate from high school in May and just began working his first job, (with a job coach). His future looks very bright.

    Sending good thoughts to you.

Autism is a big puzzle, thus the puzzle piece ribbon. Nobody knows for sure what causes it (there are many theories). Plus, there are many different cases of autism, some very severe and some more high functioning.

Elise, actually both of my boys are on the spectrum now. Marcus was diagnosed with Pervasive Developmental Disorder when he was 3. Miles was just diagnosed with Aspergers this summer. Miles has really been the challenge for us lately. He's been higher maintenance than both Marcus & Mackenzie combined. lol Marcus is in 4th grade. He's mainstreamed 50% and special ed. 50%. He's very high functioning. Quite verbal, although you have to know him to understand everything. Lacks social skills though.

Jeepers, I really rambled here. lol I love talking about my kids.

Congrats to you & your son!! I love hearing success stories.
