One of the girls at work just had a baby girl, she's four days old now, and I wanted to make here a quilt for her baby shower. I wanted to make it big enough that she could keep for years, so in the end it ended up being large enough for a lap quilt. Hardly practical for an infant, but still. What do you think?

This is her opening it at the shower, it's just the QT (minus a few rows) as I didn't have time to finish piecing and quilting it given when I found out about the shower.

What a sweet quilt I love to make mine extra big to so they can play on floor or nursing moms have plenty to cover up with . I feel like they will be able to get a lot more use out of them.

Love the bright colors! For the last several baby showers I attended, the mothers-to-be didn't want a "baby" baby quilt. By making the quilt closer to lap size, it will be loved for many years.
