I have found through the years that a simple 36x36" approx. blanket made with two one-yard pieces
of "crinkle pleas " fabric. It is harder now to find cute child prints. A print on one side and a pastel plain for the other side is perfect. Place wrong sides together and simply fold and stitch the four edges. I notice you live in Iowa, in cool weather this can be used on the outside of a fuzzy blanket to keep the lint from transferring also perfect weight for warmer weather. Hope this makes some sense to you. Please contact me if you would like more info.
I try to make these for new Moms, they wash beautifully and are light and soft. Enjoy making items for your new family arrival.
