OBW is One Block Wonder, basically a Kaleidoscope. Bethany Reynolds wrote a book called Magic Stack N Whack and it is all the same, just called by different names.

It's beautiful, very soft and feminine. A few years back I got hooked on Stack and Whacks. Now I am working on my first One Block Wonder and
I can see I'm hooked on these too. Not a surprise really as they are very, very similar techniques. Went to two quilt shops with a couple of friends today and every fabric went into one of two categories: great for OBW or not for OBW. Would love to see pics of some of your other OBWs.

Hey, I was born in Ala, married & went off to see the world as an Army wife, then came back to Ala. Where do Caroline's parents live? I'm in NE Ala. I know they & she will love this OBW baby quilt. Will the backing be flannel or another fabric? They will adore it for a long, long time. It's always so nice to have someone in the family who makes and gives quilts as gifts.

I picked up some cream jaquard (sp) with roses on it. It's kind of heavy but so pretty. We will see how my quilter likes it. I should get the borders on this weekend.

Caroline's parents are in Daphne. This is the first baby and probably will be the only one. Dad is almost my age and I'm a grandma 3 times already! So off to a slow start for him but oh what fun he is going to be in for. I'm sure this little one will have him wrapped around her little finger in no time at all.

That is going to be lovely. The fabric is soft and beautiful looking. Please post pics when you are done. I would love to see the finished quilt. It's going to be beautiful.

I finally got the top done this weekend. I think this is a record for me! 17 days! Don't laugh Cutebuns  This will go off to the quilter as soon as I make sure they haven't changed her name so I can put it in there.

The backing is jacqaurd. It was kind of hard to work with in the 1/2" border so I hope it doesn't give my quilter any trouble.
