Hello! I'm currently working on two "first quilts", but I have a feeling this one will be done before the other one. It's for a friend's baby girl, born in November, Gabriella "Ella" Grace. The fabric is flannel and I hope to bind it with a pretty yellow. Might put fleece as backing - not quite sure yet.

Their nicknames for her are "Duckie" and "Squeakers", so I dug through my stash of flannel for the only two fabrics I already had with little ducks! And I just love the baby blue and rose paisley. Can't go wrong with paisley. Ever.

    Now to start sewing rows!

The 7-1/2" squares spread out on the dining room table.

Thank you, everyone! I'm loving the fabrics together more and more the further I sew. And... paisley. I just love it.

That will certainly be a sweet heart of a quilt when done.
