Thank you! Y’all are so sweet! This quilt was certainly a learning experience for me! It was the first time I worked with faux fur but I thought my daughter had a great idea. The top of the quilt includes quilting cottons, flannel and Minky fabrics. I did use a lightweight batting. Most all of the quilting was done with just the quilt top and the batting. Before adding the backing, I stitched a quarter inch from the edge of the top. There are four lines of stitch in the ditch quilting with the top, batting and fur backing to hold all three layers together. The fur backing is wrapped around to the front. I mitered the corners and cut out the extra fabric in the corners. (Thank you aashley333 for noticing the mitered corners!) I used the outside seam around the quilt top as a guide for the backing lapped around to the front.
