The stitch I used was just a decorative stitch on my sewing machine. Don't know if it has a name! I did adjust the width of the stitch. Stitched in the ditch and the design of the stitch went to either side with a little curvature. The stitch number was #51 on my Brother SQ-9000 machine.

Just think of all the "monkeying around" a little guy will do and then to have his own monkey blankie to carry around and sleep with makes it even better! Lovely quilt!
