These are the quilts I made for my grandson's first birthday. One was for him to keep at his mother's house and one to keep at his father's house. Long story on that one!

I grew up watching my grandmother make quilts and I hope to learn alot from this group of wonderful talented ladies.

Thank you for I have already learned from all your beautiful work.

My son and the mother played and he is the result. My grandson didn't ask to be born, but I cherish him just the same.

Same here. But I did make DGS a quilt that travels with him, so no matter what, something stays constant. My heart just bleeds for these little ones.

Both quilts are adorable. You did a great job!!

Darling quilts, and I guess so many of us can relate to divorce and little ones. I"ve always sort of been the "constant" in the lives of my grandchildren. I'm always here, and they get plenty of love and attention from me. It's been especially hard for my two granddaughters, both were daddy's girls and pre-school age and they wanted to stay with him, but of course, they couldn't. Both girls had younger brothers, and it didn"t seem as hard on the boys, but I think it was because of their age at the time. The oldest set finally got to live with their dad when drugs entered the picture, so that one worked out. Hope it works for the youngest two. I see heartbreak everytime they have to leave their daddy. Sorry about my speech, but I hate divorce when there are little ones. I want to tell the parents to grow up and think more about the children than themselves.
