I really like the pink and black combination. I have a grandma's hope chest (a big old chest) in which I store my unique finds of toys (like finger puppets) and quilting and sewing projects for those future grandchildren. My gay son and his partner are skipping the parenthood experience, so it's up to my youngest and my daughter-out-of-law to get married and have some babies. I fear that by the time this happens, I will be too old decrepit to sew! I'd better get started now or else I just may be to ancient to do it by the time the grandchildren come.

Your quilt is just lovely!! I love the fact that you created adorable pink airplanes... sew cute!! I hear you on the Minkee... not the easiest to work with, but it is sooo incredibly soft to the touch for babies!! Congrats on your new GGD!
