Default Baby Quilt for a Navy Officer

My daughter's good friend is an Officer in the Navy and her husband is an ex-Marine pilot. When my daughter asked me to make a baby quilt for their child which is due in May I decided I would make a paper pieced quilt with both a boat and an airplane. I googled for some paper piecing of them and was lucky to find just the right patterns to do the job. I found some military fabric to finish the corners and I used flannel for the backing. I searched for the lightest batting I could find because it is heading to Hawaii. My husband (K & D Creations) did the quilting for me and we decided the moon and stars would be appropriate for the quilt. I look forward to your comments.
    Thank you KMeyer

I agree it is beautiful. It is so sweet for a baby, and so appropriate for the parents. That baby quilt will really be admired by many others as well.

Give them our thanks for their service too.

That's a very special quilt, sure to be treasured by the parents and loved by the child.
