    All finished. Thanks to all of you who coached me on the use of flannel instead of batting. It worked out great. I think my friend will be happy with it. I've dreaded this project ever since I agreed to work on it. It was a lesson in saying "no" next time.

    It's beautiful...has an expression just like our big black dog Luca! Lovely quilting...I am sure the recipient will love it.
