Very nice quilt. Why is it going on the back porch. It would look great in my living room.

I have a covered porch with Wicker furniture and I just thought it would be pretty and a great quilt to cover up with on a chilly morning with my coffee, It started out as a practice quilt when I was just starting to learn about quilting so the fabric is wierd stuff. But I am happy with how it turned out.

I LOVE the look of handquilting...but I am too impatient to finish a project, here's a picture of my attempts

I think any quilt that is finished is wonderful! Your hand quilting is great, only you will know where YOU think it could be better, and the only way it will get better is by practice, and you have to practice somewhere, so it is a win win situation! Your colors are cheerful and it will be wonderful to be able to use it. I agree Spring needs to hurry!

Izy, I did the wavy lines free hand and have also used whatever I find to make templates for hand quilting. I think you did a great job. I am always improvising, Sometimes I print out a graphic onto card stock and cut it out to make a template. Keep at it You are doing a wonderful job!!
