    Both are very pretty. She could use the larger one to carry a shawl, sweater, book, etc. when traveling.

    The larger bag was surprisingly easy to make. Directions were straight-forward, pictures clear, etc. I expected to breeze through the smaller bag as a result. BUT the smaller one is much more different - there's not a bottom piece - all the sides join together to make the bottom. The directions were clear, but I would scan them then guess. That method has never worked well, but I keep trying it anyway. So I'd sew and THEN I'd read to only topstitch one side of a pocket. Hmmmm... rip, rip, rip. So if I slowed down and went bit by bit I'd have a much easier time.
