A Baltimore Anniversary
Hi Everyone! It has been a really long time since I posted on here. Back in the spring of 2019, I got a Q-Zone Hoop Frame and a Juki Tl2010Q machine and started to learn longarm and ruler work quilting with finishing a variety of projects including a couple of Sew Steady classes. Last month, I upgraded my machine to a Qnique 15 Pro which I was able to pick up from our shipping company last week Thursday. For a couple of days, I was just quilting using a practice quilt sandwich as I was a bit rusty at longarm quilting as the last quilt projects I did were back in February. On Saturday afternoon, I was able to get quilting on one of the quilt tops I put together last month and if all goes well I will be finished with it in the coming days. Enclosed is a couple of photos of one of the last projects I finished back in February. It's called a Baltimore Anniversary and is made as a gift for my parents 38th wedding anniversary which was at the end of April. The blocks are from a variety of patterns out of the book Little Brown Bird and each one has a different free motion quilting design in it. All of the free motion, ruler work, and thread painting was done with my Juki on the Q-Zone Hoop Frame while the machine applique was by my Brother Pc420. Both my parents and I absolutely love the way it turned out. Happy Quilting .Hugs Katie
