I love the pattern you have chosen. I'm a lousy color selector so I'm staying out of that!

Please keep us posted. I'd love to try that pattern some day and would appreciate your thoughts on it.

I pinned the 2 1/2" strips on the design wall in the order I had in mind at the moment.
Again, each time I walked into the room I looked at them. If one of the strips slapped me in the face I moved it closer to a cousin, sister or brother. Looked again each time I came into the room. If one strip kept jumping out at me and didn't disappear anywhere I put it, I took it out and put it away. When all the strips disappeared within themselves I felt like I was ready.
In Danmar's instructions and tutorial she says the fabric only has to work with the 2 fabrics on either side of it. That rule and my disappearing act worked for me. Good luck.
Oh gosh--that is great advice... I'll get on that this weekend!! Thank you!!!

No, stop! I think you are done!
Let's wait until Barb_Mo gets here but I think you are where you want to be. The way I am counting your fabrics, you are done. Beautiful fabrics. In your second layout they look perfect to me for the pattern. Barb will need to know: on the pattern, the light colors are ?5? rows and the yellow on the pattern is the ?6? th row? And in your 2nd fabric layout your 1st 5 fabrics are light to creme, then you have an ?orange? so that orange will be where the yellow in the pattern picture is? Right? If so, I think you are ready to cut. Good job! I am going to love it. Let's see what Barb says.

I think you did a great job picking colors. Sometimes its best to stick to your first instincts - I know I drive myself crazy when I can't make up my mind. 20 fabrics would make me completely loopy. Good job - cannot wait to see the completed quilt top.

I think it looks great the way you have the fabrics lined up. I simply can't wait to see the quilt.

If you have any worries about the order of the colours (which are beautiful by the way) line them up in the order you'll be using them and take a photo. If you can, convert the photo to black and white. It will show up if you have one of a certain value that is not in the right place.
