Bargello makers and others--will these colors work? More Choices on Page 2

Love all the colors together. But I have done this quilt, in the rainbow colors you see, and the fall colors of the pattern. The only thing I can say is the dark green with the rust leaves may not read dark enough when you cut it to the desired width and only the 1" finished width shows. Depending where the leaves fall, it may end up looking like a rust piece stuck in with the darks. Fold it to 1" width and see what you think. This is the first one I did, and the fabric between the red and gold looked fine in the pile, just like the dark green with the rust leaves, but after it was finished, I wish I'd chosen something that 'read' more solid.

Karla, your choices are gorgeous! I love that pattern, bought it, but have yet to make it...You are inspiring me! Do you have Eileen Wright's book "Twist and Turn Bargello Quilts"? She says to include a "zinger" fabric to spice up the color progression. To me, this zinger equals a fabric you may not be totally sure about, but like and WANT to include. It is surprising how often this questionable fabric turns out to be just what the quilt needs! Good Luck and I can't wait to see your quilt!
