My daughter who has absolutely NO interest in quilting with fabrics became enthralled with the idea of a barn quilt. Dad cut the wood, I drew the design, and she, who loves to paint, chose the colors and did the painting. We had a really fun day when she came out and sat with me in my sewing room...me with my fabrics and her with her crayons. She must have colored that block with every possibility before choosing her favorite combo. This weekend Dad went to her house and hung it on her barn.

    Great job done!

You've got her started in quilting .... gradually she'll pick up the smaller pieces and join you at the sewing machine!! :)
