Default Barnbum's "Indian Summer" quilted by Feline Fanatic

Barnbum made this YUMMY quilt for her daughter. I know I have posted this before but she has the BEST taste in fabric and she always puts colors together so well. I wish I had her color and value intuition. Phenominal! I loved this quilt and was disappointed that I couldn't stare at it while quilting but we both agreed that there is so much going on with the fabric and piecing that an end to end panto was the way to go with this beautiful quilt. She called it Indian Summer and I can't think of a better name with all those warm golds, bittersweet orange/red, burgandy, and greens. The quilt captures the warmth of Indian summer just when the leaves are starting turn but the weather hasn't.

Karla chose the panto Falling Leaves II for the quilting. http://www.quiltscomplete.com/Produc...-SC-FL-12.aspx I recommended King Tut varigated thread in the color Autumn Days which had all the main colors of this quilt in it. Batting is Warm and Natural and the backing is 3 soft cozy flannels also with an autumn theme.

And of course, a couple of gratuitous back shots.

You are right, her color combo's are perfect for this pattern. You did a wonderful job on the quilting to bring out the theme.

I agree! She makes the most beautiful quilts. The quilting you did is great too.
