    IMHO, I think it needs the sashing to separate the blocks; otherwise, it seems too "busy" for me. Plus, I think it would make the quilt bigger, and would show off your work better.

    I agree with the others. Sashing will let your eyes go to the individual baskets

    I would prefer the blocks on point with sashing. Or alternate the way the baskets face with sashing.

    Yes, sashing for sure. If you put them together without it, seems like you would sort of 'lose' the baskets.

    I agree, use sashing all one color or extra fabric from the baskets if you have enough. If you don't put them on point I like the suggestion of turning the ones on the left side inward.
