    Our bassett,Maggie is 14 and no longer runs like that. :( Still love her to death!

    Mike Royko, late writer/editor for the Chicago Tribune owned two basset hounds. He told everyone that they were the best dogs to have. They wake up, they run to eat their food, potty and go back to lay down for half the day because they are so tired from so much exertion.

    Loved seeing this! We used to have 2 bassets---Brutus and Sally. Sure do miss them.

    They are so ugly that they are just too cute. I love them and have always wanted one . That's my dream. Maybe someday it will come true.
