I learned a few weeks ago that a friend of mine from years ago was diagnosed with terminal cancer. I made this quilt for him & learned some great tricks along the way. Spray adhesive is awesome! I was able to sandwich & machine quilt like a charm; no puckers & no pinning. I also learned to machine quilt with the feed dogs up, I just set the presser foot tension on low. Fast & easy. I made this quilt in one week & worked 40 hours @ my 'other' job.

What a beautiful quilt! Batiks have become my favorite. It looks very warm and comfortable and I'm sure your friend will feel that way snuggling up underneath. That's very thoughtful of you to make such a precious gift. You did a great job!

Ok, first, lovely, lovely quilt!!! Such a treasure to be wrapped in that. :-D

Second, how do you do free motion with the presser foot tension on low?

    Thanks for info.
