Batik quilt-Newbie
Hi all;
I am new to quilting and to your forum and I am really enjoying it and learning a lot. My MIL introduced me to it and gave me a lot of advices as I am pretty much clueless..
This is my last quilt done for my Mom. Pieced by hand and hand quilted, approx 70*70.
I was worried about the colors but I think that they turned up fine. I think that the orange really brought them back together.
Details are no so pretty when you look closer.
Hope that you will enjoy it too.
I saw a similar pattern with earth tone batik colors which was so pretty that I had to try to copy..
Very happy to be meet you all and now back looking at pictures of your wonderful quilts!!!

Thank you all
The first time that I saw the pattern was on this website
http://greensandjeans.com/2011/07/23...wedding-quilt/
I really loved her quilt and kept coming back.
The Lady used the following pattern:

I used a similar pattern but changed the quilting
My Mom loves modern art and I thought that this quilt pattern had a modern look to it.
I have attached a detail of the blocks
Don't hesitate to give me any advices!! I want to learn your skills!!!. This was my 5th quilts and i started in late2012! This hobby is sooo relaxing except that now I am spending a lot of time in fabrics store...LOL
