The price I've seen for batiks in quilt shops is usually between $9 and $10.

    Now the tricky question...

Nicely done batiks are probably the most expensive fabrics for a shop to buy.

Would $8.50 / yard be too much to ask, do you think?

Be honest please. I don't want to make a mistake...
I bought small amounts of JoAnn's batiks. Some were over $10 for full yard. But I could't resist the fabrics. Not everyone will be looking for a huge quantity most likely. $8.50 sounds reasonable.

8.50 would be a great price for quality batiks-I'd buy them, for that

I would love a stack of FQs.....one of each batik shown.
I find the quality of fabric at LQSs to be MUCH better than other places. I don't mind paying if I am getting quality. So many people ask me where I buy my fabrics as you can really telll I buy beautiful, quality fabric. It's like baking a cake with poor ingredients or high quality ingredients. Your CAN tell the difference. I would advise you to be sure the QUALITY of the batiks is a good quality. Put me on the list as a purchaser! Good luck to you!
