Where did you find the pattern for a bow tuck? I have looked in many fabric/quilt shops and have not found one yet. I need one as my GDIL to be liked the idea of having them for the ladies in her wedding as a gift.

I think it is great that your husband will join you sewing like this. How much fun it must be to be in the same room, sewing and talking. Mine sits in one room, sleeping most of the time, and I'm either in my room or at the computer. Hardly a word said all day long, and at times I could scream from boredom. He is great about everything else though! After 56 years I'm use to it, guess I'll keep him.LOL

I think it's interesting how DHs mostly think it's great when we get involved with them in their hobbies but not the other way around. My husband even loved when I sat with him and watch TV. I would have loved it if he would have shown some interest in what I was doing for 'fun'. I'm not bitter about it but was just the way it was.

I have been married to this man for 38 years and this is the first time he has shown interest in what i do.. he has gone to the fabric store before and bought fabric as a surprise.. but never in my sewing... THEN............ he got interested in the old machines.. and with that he loved taking them for a test drive and sewing.. he really strived in making his lines straight and perfect.. that is where his first quilt came into play... he didn't want to do another quilt, he wanted to do something he could see his hard work come to life faster.. so he asked if he could do a purse.. well of course he could !! And he is doing a great job. Now he talks the talk and walks the walk.. stay tune for the purses finale !
