    I finally got it done !!

    I quilted each block separately then cut 1" strips then sewed the sashing between the blocks. Then cut 2" strips for the binding. It has a flannel back that I prewashed 3 times, I was amazed it shrunk 5" all total (good thing I prewashed).

    I didn't have that stuff to prewash the fabric for ink transfers. And the iron transfer said dry clean only. Besides it's less likely that the colors will bleed.
