Bears & Eagles Quilt
Another of my quilts for my nieces and nephews! I'm slowly working through the list to make a quilt for each of my nieces and nephews, as designed to their specifications. My nephew, Temple, along with his brothers, Ashe & Gaige, have so much more faith in my quilting ability than I do, lol. My other nieces and nephews asked for quilts with color themes, character themes, or animal themes. Easy enough. But these three gave me laundry lists, lol.
Ashe asked for a quilt with dinosaurs, but wanted scenes with carnivores eating herbivores, herbivores eating plants and fossils. ( http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...o-t264733.html )
Ashe's twin, Gaige, asked for a zombie quilt. He wanted a quilt with a zombie that had red skin, green blood, and ate fish. He also wanted a zombie leopard, zombie crow, zombie eagle, zombie army man, zombie turtle, crows carrying zombie heads. It was a stretch for me, but I made it and he loves it. Then their older brother, Temple, wanted a quilt that had bears, eagles with flaming wings, and flames in the borders. So, this is what he got. In the beginning of the design, I contacted a biker shop in California to have some eagle images pressed onto cotton, but in the designing process, I just couldn't find the right place to include them. So, I finished the quilt without them, and then designed a pillow for him. Thanks for looking!
