I just tonight found this. What a beautiful quilt you are doing. I love all the pretty birds and the colors and patterns you are using. I have to book mark this one to follow.

Today I started to quilt around 4 of the center blocks. Today I frogged 2 of the 4. LOL
I am really having second thoughts about doing this one section at a time. This is the largest quilt I have made so far. I think it is going to be full size when it's all together. I may well have more than I can handle here. Time will tell.
On the positive side, I am finally proud of my 1/4" seams so I am posting a pic of them. Boy have they changed since I started quilting a year and a half ago. That quarter inch seam foot sure makes a world of difference.
Also, today the cat found her place on the quilt. She looks quite queenly I think.
    Smilessss and huggggggs....

I like your 1/4 inch seams! The picture sure looks like stained glass with those 1/4 inch seams showing thru.:) I'm so glad Sirrah found her place! Every thing's looking great! So sorry ya had to frog sew.You sure are sewing much faster than I ever could. Keep up the good work.

WOW boy those blocks are coming together really pretty. I didn't realize that you were quilting as you go. Thats a great idea, when you get it put together it will all be done. I am really loving the way your blocks are looking. I love the kitty to, looks like just the right place for her.

I'm not exactly doing the normal QAYG, LOL. My thought was since my top was in 5 medium sections, I would quilt each section as I go, rather than each block as is traditionally done.
Right now I have the center section pinned and am attempting to quilt it. Next I will add each side section then finally the top and bottom.
I am trying to use the method where you use the whole backing and sew each section to that as you go, but it is giving me fits already. I have added lots of extra pins so am about to go find out if that will be the answer. :)
