Tonight I pieced out the backing to make it large enough by adding a section to the top and bottom.
Then I sewed on the top section and pinned it up ready for quilting tomorrow. I'm excited to be getting close to the end!!

yesterday was an interesting day, I sewed so late I didn't get any posting done.
It was kind of frustrating too, as I had to do some ripping... I sewed the extension piecing on the backing on to the wrong side of the backing so that had to come off. I did get some quilting done, though. Loved doing the eagles.

I accidentally deleted the photo of the backing but, ta daaaaaaa .......... it's done!!!!!!!! I am happy to report that
I finished the binding tonight. Once the quilting was finished, it was done really quickly. My arms are so tired from wrestling this heavy thing around, I will be really happy for a rest.
Thank you all for staying with me during this project. I love how the quilt came out and am anxious go give it to my son. I don't know when that will be just yet, but hopefully not to long of a wait. They live in PA, so maybe a visit will be in the near future.
Hugs and smiles and happy quilting to you all, Linda

I love how the binding ties in so well with the duck borders. Thanks for sharing your quilting trip with me. Even your oopses where excelent. Isnt it wonderful how we learn by doing and some of our doing is mistakes. Keep your creative juices flowing and your sharing spirit functioning. Nana Pat
