Thanks so much for all the wonderful comments. Yes it is a wonderful friendship. We often will be talking and it is almost scarry how much we are alike. Our birthdays are two days apart, some of our furniture is alike, they have boys, we have boys, both quilt and could go on forever. Can't wait to show her this topic. We plan to practice wtih Miss Kate this afternoon and just have a fun time today.

How very pretty! Is this called tatting, or is it crocheting? My aunts, who also lived in the middle of Kansas, used to do this sort of work. When they passed away I found their items packed away, almost gave them away, and am really glad that I decided to keep two gorgeous tablecloths. I marvel at all of the hours of work that had to go into these projects. Beautiful work from your friend.

It is beautiful. I don't think I would ever want to make one, but they sure are beautiful.
