Actually I have been wondering the same thing but hoped I would catch on because I am new here. I looked the word up in my 10 pound unabridged dictionary and the definition didn't seem to fit our little side info and pic. So I'm wondering if it has something to do with a recent movie which I haven't seen.
So there it is, I felt emboldened to show my ignorance. To all you out there referring to your "Avatar" what does it mean? I know it is our bio info as we identify ourselves in each posting, but I'm curious about a clear quilter's definition. Thank you.

What a lovely doily. I also crochet and there is a lot of time and love put into that beautiful doily. You have a great friend.
sorry, I see this posted twice while I figured out how to edit I can not see how to delete one.
