Beautiful Quilts from the Paducah Show!

absolutely amazing. So much creativity and artistry. I of course love the hats, how could I not? Are the two squares on point a rework of the blooming nine patch by any chance. They sort of have the same look. I really like them.

Those quilts are all unbelieveably stunning. I went to the Paducah quilt show several years ago and was amazed at the workmanship. I have no desire to ever get to that level, I quilt for enjoyment and think I would be too stressed out trying anything like those quilts- but I sure do admire those that do.

Thanks for the pics...they are astonishing pieces.. Wouldn't you like to sit one day with one of these artists and watch them work?
how intricate some of the work is. It would be interesting to compare a show of 10yrs ago to today's work. What makes the difference...machines, fabric, threads, or just imagination and of course talent, the fact that many entries came from Japan indicates how this handiwork has traveled the globe and thru their hands has become another level of "quilting". Jmho.....
I know historically the Japanese/Chinese have made everyday quilted clothing, but it has reached new heights....
