    Beautiful, I can sew lots of things but, I don't. I make pillow covers to go with the quilts we use and have made several bed ruffles for our bed. I refuse to mend or sew anything but quilts.

    Your projects are very nice. I love the mix of colors and fabrics.
    I agree, Alikat110, about zigzaging over other thread for ruffling. I usually use maybe crochet thread or something heavier that regular thread to zigzag over. I can remember sewing those three rows of stitching and pulling and pulling on the bobbin thread to ruffle the fabric, then one or two of the threads break somewhere in the length of fabric. This method is soo much easier and much less likely to come apart to the point it has to be taken out and re-done.

    Yes on the free motion, I do have a long arm and it makes it easier in my opinion. Before I had a long arm though I had a little handi-quilter frame I could use with my regular machine, that also worked well.
