Beginner quilt for a cancer Patient
#15
Thank you so much for all the kind comments. Red-Warrior, the fabric line is "Good Morning"by Me & My Sisters for Moda. I chose the fabric because I thought it was very cheerful looking. I started with a 5" square and simply framed it with 2-1/2 inch strips, then sashed the blocks. The hardest part which wasn't really all that hard, was making sure the blocks lined up when adding the sashing. I used a FQ which made it even easier since I'm not all that good at coordinating fabrics. I then stitched in the ditch down all the seams and then around each square which looked quite nice on the backing side of the quilt. It really is a good beginner project. Oh, I forgot, the other hard part was crawling around on the floor when sandwiching the quilt - must find a better way!
