OMG I had the most terrible time making circles. Try this idea and see if it helps. Just take 2 scrap pieces of material that would be big enough for your circle, draw your circle on the back of one piece then put the 2 pieces together right sides.
Put a pin in the center then sew on the line all the way around. Trim material to 1/4" or so. Then pull the circle apart a little and make a cut through the center of one circle that will be the BACK. Turn and press. If you followed the circle line that you drew it will be perfect.

Your blocks look great I love the combinations of color and fabrics you are using. It will be fun to see how you decide to finish it and then see the completed work.

i come up with the size i need to cover the hole...then i cut squares of fabric to fit that hole...i then draw a circle the size needed on coffee filters...i use them for the backing..sewing on the drawn line...then slit the center and turn right side out...the coffee filter is a little stiffer, giving me a smooth circle...several drawings can fit on one filter...and the filters hold up in washing...i prefer to sew mine on by hand, but my embroidery machine does a nice slip stitch.....i have many blades in the making right now for xmas dresden table runners...i better get sewing!!!...
